Agronomics

Services: PR & Social

The brief
Agronomics is a London-listed investment company set up by British entrepreneur Jim Mellon. It invests in the future of food through cellular agriculture and alternative proteins. Agronomics brought 33Seconds on in early 2025, after being impressed by our work with its portfolio company Meatly, to build its reputation and awareness among retail investors.

What we did
33Seconds built a PR strategy for Agronomics prioritising two strands. The first profiles Jim Mellon's record as an entrepreneur and as an industry expert. The second draws media attention to the startups and scale-ups in the Agronomics portfolio, including companies using precision fermentation to produce coffee, chocolate, bananas and palm oil. The work includes media relations, national media commentary, food trade press, podcast appearances and exclusives for portfolio companies. We also manage Agronomics' LinkedIn profile.

The result
33Seconds has secured more than 170 pieces of coverage for Agronomics over 18 months. This includes national media coverage in the Financial Times, Daily Express, Sky News, and the i Paper, along with food trade coverage, and an appearance on the Shaken Not Burned podcast. LinkedIn followers increased 20% over 12 months with 145,000 impressions and more than 3,500 engagements.
